Only six games on the weekend, and another small number of games coming up as more teams take their bye. Its interesting to see how each team uses the spare week to freshen up. The Pies went north for instance. The bye can't come soon enough for Carlton with the hellish few weeks it has had. Here is how Brett Ratten has handled his troops and by the looks on their faces it really does seem to have paid dividends in deliverance from the pressures of AFL. Uglybustards Footy Tipping Results
I know this is sounding like a broken record, but Robert Lee has yet again picked the perfect round, getting 0/6. He's as consistent as a yo-yo. The spoon's home in Mythbuster territory is looking safe at this stage.
The Jackpot went off for the second week in a row, this time Arnold Layne was the winner of the Whopper, but only pocketed $5 as the boot cleaned out the coffers last week. #Car17on would've taken the chocolates but he's not in the Prize Pool this season. He still gets his Whopper but.
On the Tipping ladder Longee has made a small break as he stuck to the favourites and watched the wanna-be's behind him falter. Elmo, Uglybustard, Aceup74 and Craig Nettlebeck all went a roughie, and slipped. Reigning champ Griggsy picked up 3 spots to 3rd, and look out as last year's pace-setter and eventual runner-up powerful is 7th, but only 1 point behind 6th and 4 off the lead.
The West Coast v Carlton game didn't produce any real surprises for the Margin Comp. David Feck'Em remains out in front of Rod Carter by 17 pts just like last week. 8 pts back Uglybustard moves into 3rd, displacing Longee, who is another 10 points in arrears. This week we have the Swans V Cats blockbuster which could go either way.
Rotten Ronnie hits the front by a whisker in the Trivia Comp nudging out Uglybustard 133 to 132. Griggsy has come from nowhere into 3rd, and even starting late he could still take this out. He's only 17 behind Uglybustard and 18 behind Rotten Ronnie. We'll have to take him out behind play.
